- Description: We are seeking a skilled General Safety Inspector with up to 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our facilities, equipment, and operations with relevant safety regulations and standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
- Provide safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management and employees to address safety concerns and implement proactive safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and corrective actions taken.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate with external regulatory agencies and inspectors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience in safety inspection and compliance, preferably in [specify industry].
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA), or similar, are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards.

- Proven ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify safety hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
