Responsibilities

• Requirement gathering with the collaboration of business stakeholders. Translate these requirements into technical specification for Power BI reports and Dashboards.
• Design and development of data models, define relationship between the tables and visual implementations of the reports and dashboards.
• Automate data extraction and develop real-time data processing system using Power BI with row level data security.
• Publish Dashboards with Row Level Security  and access management
• Documentation of data models, report specifications and development processes.
• Provide Business insights using data analysis and reports as and when required.

8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Power BI and data Analytics.

Experience in Sales domain and Sales tools is a must ,with excellent communication skills alongside visual story telling.

Education: BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent(Preferred) , MS Power BI Certifications   

We are looking for a candidate with the below mentioned skills, along with the above mentioned 3 criteria's   - 

1.     Advanced Data Modeling:

· Designing and implementing multidimensional and tabular data models to support complex business requirements.

· Utilizing advanced modeling techniques such as one-to-one, many-to-many relationships, and composite models and complex hierarchies.

· Optimizing data models for performance by partitioning large datasets, defining proper relationships, and managing hierarchies.

2.     Expert-level DAX:

· Developing intricate DAX calculations for key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and advanced analytics.

· Leveraging DAX functions for time intelligence, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.

· Optimizing DAX performance through efficient formula authoring and understanding query context and context transition.

· Experience in developing and optimizing complex DAX measures, including time intelligence functions, pattern matching, and nested calculations.

3.     Data Transformation:

· Proficiently cleansing and transforming data from various sources using Power Query Editor.

· Implementing complex data transformation logic involving conditional statements, custom functions, and error handling.

· Automating data refresh and transformation processes using Power Automate or custom scripts.

· Knowledge of Python is a good to have skill.

4.     Visualization Design:

· Designing visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards with a focus on usability and user experience.

· Utilizing custom visuals and themes to create branded and aesthetically pleasing BI assets.

· Incorporating advanced features such as bookmarks, drill-through, and dynamic filtering for enhanced interactivity.

· Story telling with engaging data visualization.

5.     Performance Optimization:

· Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and data models.

· Implementing data compression techniques, partitioning strategies, and aggregations to improve query performance.

· Monitoring and tuning Power BI workloads for optimal resource utilization and scalability.

6.     Data Governance and Security:

· Establishing data governance policies and procedures for data modeling, naming conventions, and metadata management.

· Implementing row-level security (RLS), object-level security, and data encryption to enforce data access controls.

· Implementing data governance policies and best practices to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance.

· Establishing role-based access controls (RBAC), row-level security (RLS), and data encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive information.

· Documenting data lineage, metadata, and data quality rules to maintain data integrity and traceability.

7.     Integration with Other Tools:

· Integrating Power BI Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Analysis Services.

· Connecting Power BI to data sources such as SharePoint, Snowflake, Web and SAP using APIs and connectors.

8.     Business Acumen:

· Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and define key performance metrics.

· Translating business requirements into technical specifications and data models that drive actionable insights and strategic decision-making.

· Sound understanding of Sales Business Organization and Sales applications.

9.     Communication and Stakeholder Management:

· Communicating complex technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

· Building and maintaining relationships with clients, business partners, and executive sponsors to ensure alignment of BI initiatives with organizational goals.

· Conducting training sessions, workshops, and knowledge sharing sessions to empower end-users with self-service BI capabilities and promote data-driven decision-making culture.
