Job Description

Specific Responsibilities

The Khalda Joint Venture (JV) Apache Planning Analyst Senior is a member of the JV Planning and Performance Management Division and JV Planning Department, reporting to the JV Apache Planning Manager 


This role is primarily responsible for the following: 
•    Review assumptions and forecasting of key operating expense features including but not limited to:
o    Facility Chemical, Fuel, Rentals and Manpower monthly expenditures forecasting
o    EPF/ RPF Chemical, Fuel, Rentals and Manpower monthly expenditures forecasting
o    Well level Chemical, Fuel, Rentals, Workover, Well Service activities and Manpower monthly expenditures forecasting
•    Maintain EGP vs USD denominated expenditure split forecasts
•    Review and contribute in maintaining detailed overhead expenditure forecast by feature including but not limited to: Salaries, Benefits, Catering, Medical, Transportation, Training, etc.
•    Review diesel forecasting model aligned to operational events and power demand forecasts and provide in-depth analysis and present findings on key drivers of monthly outlook variances; 
•    Run sensitivity analyses against plan/ monthly outlook scenarios including but not limited to: EGP/USD FX, diesel pricing, workforce compensation and benefits; 
•    Work with joint venture counterparts to refine operating expenditures forecast and improve forecasting processes with the joint venture team.
•    Collaborate with joint venture performance management team to identify gaps and enhance forecasting processes.
•    Support ongoing cost optimization and reduction collaboration efforts across joint venture departments.
•    Collaborate with Apache asset planning team to fulfill asset leads and Apache enquiries, provide granularity on costs as required for planning and economic models.
•    Provide support and expertise to direct reports, as required, including developing joint venture employees.




Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:


•    An undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Finance; 
•    At least 10 years of experience in oil & gas industry with a strong understanding: 
o    oil and gas development and production processes; 
o    upstream Production Sharing Contracts; 
o    Joint Venture operations; 
•    MBA, PMP, CMA, or CFA is a plus
•    Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team; 
•    Exposure to: 
o    planning and budgeting processes; 
o    report preparation and presentation to senior leadership; 
o    organizational change management; 
•    Demonstrable ability to learn new applications.  Preferred experience with applications including: 
o    Oracle;
o    SAP; 
o    MS Office Applications;
o    Enersight;
o    Spotfire;
 •    Outstanding communication, interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills.
